MACHINES
HELP PEOPLE
This didactic unit is designed to be carried out in the
first year of primary school at the end of the third term. It is developed in
eight sessions and contents of the natural sciences subject are studied.
OBJECTIVES:
- Machines: observation of machines and how they work and how they make life easier
- Recognise the difference between simple and complex machines.
- Recognise certain professions by the machines they use.
- Understand the importance of personal safety when using machines.
DEVELOPMENT OF THE SESSIONS:
1 Session : presentation and familiarization of the vocabulary. Use the games: where is it? and what's missing?

2 Session:Work in pairs using the question and answer cards and the image cards. Vocabulary is consolidated with these activities and structures are worked on.

3 Session: Work the content on the machines watching the video and stopping at key moments.

6 Session : Recognize what machines are used in different jobs through the song and perform the activity "multiple choice" on the professions.

8 Session: By groups, observe and manipulate a simple machine and a complex one. Then they present the observed in groups, following the script:

NOTE: As this unit is worked at the end of the term, once finished and if there is time, a craft can be carried out. I propose we make a pulley made with recycled material. Here I leave the necessary material to realize it. MATERIALS
